You don’t need to go to great depths to apply anhydrous ammonia. With the 2510H Nutrient Applicator, you can gently place anhydrous up to 4.5 inches (11.4 cm) – about half the depth
of traditional applications.
The disk opener injects nitrogen directly into the root zone with minimal soil disturbance. The unique closing wheel makes sure it stays there. This improves nutrient availability and soil quality while reducing volatilization and surface runoff of nutrients. The precise placement also reduces tractor horsepower requirements, saving fuel.
The 2510H’s low soil disturbance yields two key benefits relative to nitrogen management:
